The creator of the Police Chief Bruno novels, Martin Walker, will meet us at the market in Le Bugue (Saint-Denis in the books) where we will meet many of the characters who supply the victuals that figure so prominently in the books. followed by a lunch Chez Martin, where Raymond will add a burst of local colour to our day.

And just a short ride to Josephine Baker’s Chateau des Milandes  with its museum replete with memories of la Baker where we will have lunch at the brasserie.

Visit to the market at Montflanquin where you can find foie gras, the famous cepe mushrooms, magret (duck breasts) & confit (conserves of duck or goose), truffles, walnuts, strawberries and countless other delicious local products to tempt the visitor’s taste buds.

Load up for the trip back to Paris.

Pick up in Agen & Transfer to Ladausse

3 nights in a suite at Ladausse

3 gourmet dinners at Ladausse, including 1 with a vigneron

3 breakfasts “à la français”

1 transportation to Martin’s house & the Le Bugue .

1 full day excursion to  Chateau des Milandes and a duck farm

Return transfer to Agen.

All inclusive except for Paris-Agen-Paris train (approx 70 euros per person)
