Food & Drink

No one should have a bad meal in Paris! Whether a 3-star restaurant or a local bistro there should always be an excellent rapport qualité prix–a positive relationship between price and quality.

A 20-euro lunch can be perfectly enjoyable and 200 euros meal can be a nightmare. At a 3-star I expect the server to know that I want my water glass filled before I do and at bistro du coin I want the meal that Melvyn Douglas and Greta Garbo had in Ninotchka.

Too busy to sit down for a full meal but not willing to sacrifice quality? Our favorite wine bars offer an assortment of good, reasonably-priced wines by the glass with charcuterie, fromage and other tasty nibbles.

After a movie, show or leisurely nightcap head to one of our piano bars for a repertoire of Tony Bennett or Sinatra–perhaps sung by Terrance.

At my favorites you will be treated as a regular and have a satisfying experience. Just tell them  “Terrance sent you.”
