The Paris Readers Circle

My Paris adventure has been influenced by books that I read long before Paris became my reality. The remembrances of the journalists and authors who came to work and play, and to gather material for their art, form the canon of expatriate literature.

Each month a work will be selected for open discussion on this website – perhaps a work that never found a mass audience but that we consider an important contribution to the understanding of Parisian life and culture.

You are invited to share your opinions, comments – and if you are motivated – reviews (limited to 250 words maximum, please) concerning the chosen title.

Once a month we will gather in Paris over wine for a friendly group discussion of that month’s selected work.

We look forward to your insights – and if you are in Paris – to seeing you.

Bonne lecture
